Abstract
646,676. Fluorescent coatings. COLE, Ltd., E. K., and EVANS, J. N. I. Oct. 27, 1948, No. 27857. [Class 39 (i)] A small quantity of triethanolamine N(C 2 H 4 OH) 3 is added to a solution of ammonium alginate containing suspended fluorescent powder to improve the adhesion of the fluorescent powder to the vitreous envelope of fluorescent lamps. The fluorescent powder may consist of magnesium tungstate and zincberyllium - magnesium - manganese silicate. Preferred quantities are quoted. Specifications 560,544 and 639,330 are referred to.
