[Class 6(i)] In a tool frame comprising parallel spaced front and rear bars 1, 2 fitted with a plurality of laterally adjustable implement carriers 3, 4, 5, each implement carrier comprises two spaced bars 6 between which the tools are mounted, the ends of the bars being adapted to be secured to the front and rear bars by nut and bolt fastenings. As shown, slotted clamps 15 are also provided for implements and carriers 18 are extended and connected by a front bar 19, lugs 23 and loops 20, 21 being provided for attachment of the frame to the hydraulic lifting links of a tractor. The frame may be converted for sowing potatoes by fitting a box 25 and seats 26 for operators who feed potatoes into pockets 28 in rotary wheels 27 driven by chain and sprocket gearing from a landwheel 34. The potatoes are fed into shoots 29 having a furrow opening tine 10; the furrow being closed by ridging ploughs 11, tines 10<SP>1</SP> acting as markers. In a modification, the potatoes are fed to pockets in an endless chain extending down a shoot to the rear of a plough share. Manure may be fed into the potato shoots by wheels equipped with cups and driven from a landwheel. Extra tines 10<SP>2</SP> may be fitted to facilitate manuring. The frame may be converted into a corn drilling machine having hoppers fitted with drivable feed and control wheels. The frame assembly which may be mounted. in front of a tractor may be modified to carry a potato spinner.
