[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] Welding.-A cranked or off set resistance welding electrode comprising a body having at least one curved portion anc a nose with a welding face, has a conduit for cooling fluid extending through the curved portion or portions into the nose to discharge cooling fluid at a point near the welding face. In an electrode 14 made by inserting a conduit 30 intc a straight bored electrode the tip 22 is offset by making twc reverse bends 16, 21 with the conduit 30 in place, thereby bending the conduit to retain it in the electrode body. In another form (Fig. 3, not shown), the bends are shallow and the conduit may be withdrawn after bending. A single bend electrode (Fig. 4, not shown), is shaped enough to retain the conduit.
