Abstract
643,292. Making turbine blades. JAMESON, Ltd., J. L., and JAMESON, J. L. March 1, 1948, No. 6486. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] Die-rolling.-A method of producing turbine blades includes the step of hot rolling a series of blades 6 in a length of metal 1. The blades may be fed to and finished in a machine of the type described in Specifications 591,890 and 642,535, [both in Group XXIII]. The bar is preferably heated electrically, by passing it through an induction furnace 10 or by resistance heating, by means of contacts 8, 9, or the rolls 2, 3 may themselves constitute an electrode.
