Abstract
643,130. Shedding mechanism for smallware looms. WILKINSON & CO., Ltd., T. F., WILKINSON, T. B., and HARBOURN, K. July 7, 1948, No. 18216. [Class 142(i)] In order that the cams 7 which actuate the healds can be readily changed, the cam-shaft 1 is carried by bearing blocks 5 accomodated in recesses in a casing 2, sc that on removal of a cover 4 the cam-shaft together with its bearings, can be withdrawn from the casing. The cams are assembled on the shaft between collars 14 and are driven by a rod 16 passing through the cams and collars. Heald actuating levers 18 are operated positively in both directions by pairs of adjacent cams.
