642,040. Mechanical switches, without quick action. CHAMBAUT, H. L. Feb. 4, 1948, No. 3244. Convention date, Feb. 11, 1947. [Class 38(v)] A rotary switch for use in radio circuits comprises an insulating rotor 3 located in an aperture 2 in an insulating annulus 1 carrying spring contacts 7 and sectorshaped strips 8 on opposite sides thereof. Plugs 10, adapted selectively to bridge contacts 7, 8 are located in apertures in the rotor 3, and contact between the plugs 10 and strips 8 is improved by radial projections 12 which may be formed by stamping or by localized thickened portions of the strips 8.
