Abstract

641,724. Weighing-apparatus. LESIRE, J. June 18, 1947, No. 16105. Convention date, July 31, 1946. [Class 143] A means for indicating the load supported by a vehicle and its distribution thereon, of the kind which measures the subsidence of the vehicle springs, has a scale secured on each side of the body cooperating with indicators carried by a part of the vehicle which remains at a fixed height above the ground. In Fig. 3 scales 6 are secured to the vehicle body 1 and cooperate with indicators 5 secured to the axle 2, each of said indicators being spaced therefrom by a horizontal arm which is of such length that the indicator lies directly beneath the tailboard. In a modification the indicators 5 are removed and the scales co-operate with wheel rims 13, said scales then being pivotally mounted on the body as shown in either Fig. 5 or 6, so facilitating wheel removal.
