Abstract

641,158. Electromagnetic switches. CHANCE BROS., Ltd. Sept. 14, 1948, No. 24080. [Class 38(v)] In an electromagnetic contactor, insulating parts e arranged on either side of the magnet b, carry fixed contacts f and slidably support moving-contact carriers i which are pressed outwards by springs j so as to abut against a bridge piece o pivotally attached to the armature m by a pin n. The armature m slides in grooves in the parts e its outward movement being limited by the pin n engaging a fixed slot q. The slot q is in a spring plate p which may be pressed sideways to release the pin n and enable the bridge piece o to be detached.
