Abstract
640,580. Fuel bunkers; edge joints for metal panels. HOARE, E. W. Oct. 27, 1947, No. 28658. [Classes 20(i) and 20(ii)] [Also in Group XVII] Front and back walls 1, 2 of a domestic fuel bunker are provided along their vertical edges with U-shaped channels 1a, 2a which detachably interlock with U-shaped channels 3a in the vertical edges of end walls 3 by vertically sliding said walls into engagement. Downturned flanges 5a, framed on the edges of a base 5 engage in further upturned U-shaped channels 1b, 2b, 3b formed on the bottom edges of the vertical walls. A flanged lid (not shown) is hinged to the back wall, the hinge pins being removable for dismantling the box, and a sliding closure (not shown) may be provided in the front wall.
