Abstract

640,377. Magazine gramophones. MILLER, W., and MORRISON, J. L. D. July 30, 1947, No. 20585. [Class 40 (ii)] In a magazine gramophone having an offset type of centre post on which records are initially supported before being released one by one to the turntable by an ejector, the said ejector comprises a flat member 10 which is mounted for limited axial and pivotal movement in a slot 12 in the centre post, and which is urged upwardly in a retracted position by a spring 22 on a push-rod 20, and then urged outwardly to unseat the lowermost record 25 by a wedge-shaped end 24 of the pushrod 20. In an alternative construction, the member 10 is provided with a secondary step by which means the weight of the records is lifted from the step on the centre post before the lowermost record 25 is ejected.
