The cuff may be attached to the shoe by press studs 10 and fastened over the foot by straps 11 and buckles 12. The opposite ends of the straps 11 are secured to the cuff by press studs to facilitate unfastening the strap when once they have been adjusted to length by the buckles. When the cuff is detached from the shoe detachable masking covers cover the cuff attachment means. The cuff may be reversible, one side then matching the material of the shoe.
