Abstract
639,672. Fourdrinier paper-making machines. SPENCER, J. A. July 31, 1947, No. 20717. Convention date, April 12, 1940. [Class 96] In making paper on a Fourdrinier machine a dandy roll 30 is positively rotated from a driving part of the machine, e.g. from a couch roll drive shaft 16, through gear boxes 60 and 84, so that the peripheral speed of the dandy roll 30 bears a constant relation to and is slightly, e.g. 1¢ to 4 per cent, in excess of the speed of the wire. The descriptive matter of this Specification is largely the same as that of Specification 639,669.
