639,151. Agricultural implements. ABBEY, A. (Aktiebolaget Overums Bruk). Aug. 7, 1947, No. 21622. [Class 6 (i)] A plough comprises a share carried by a pivoted arm 3 and locked by a releasable spring-controlled catch which allows the share to swing backwards on encountering an obstacle. A catch surface 8 is formed in a rod 6 sliding in a bearing member 7 which pivots on a rib 16 engaging a groove in the plough frame 5. A spring 13 retains a stop 18 or rod 6 in position against the frame 5. The rod 6 is pivoted to a link 12 pivotally mounted on frame 5. In operation the catch is moved out of the path of arm 3 in a substantially tangential direction to said path against the action of the spring 13 or alternatively in a direction transverse to said tangential direction against the action of a second adjustable spring 15.
