Abstract

639,113. Hair driers. REYNOLDS, A. and WEBB, A. W. Sept. 26, 1944, No. 18375. [Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXVI and XXXV] A hair drier comprises a base unit consisting of a synthetic resin casing 1 and handle 3, a switch unit 6, and a motor and fan unit 14, constructed so that mechanical connection automatically establishes electrical connection. Electrical connections 16 and contacts 11, 12, 17 are moulded in a block 10, and supply leads 4 in the handle 3. The switch unit 6 incorporates a sliding push piece 7 controlling the motor circuit, and optionally a push button 8 controlling the circuit of the heater 13, the connections being such that the heater circuit cannot be closed when the fan is not in operation.
