638,172. Fertilizer distributers. FERGUSON, Inc., H. June 27, 1947, No. 16968. Convention date, June 28, 1946. (Class 6 (i)) [Also in Group XXIV] A fertilizer attachment for a tractor having vertically swingable power-operated draft links 11, comprises a hopper 20 having a feed screw in its lower portion for discharging the contents through a tube 69, on rotation of the screw by means of a pulley 46 driven by a belt 44 from a landwheel 41 mounted on a frame 60 pivotally attached to links 65 secured to a transverse bar 14 carrying the hopper 20. Links 15, 16 are secured to the bar 14 and are pivotally connected to the draft links 11 and a top link 17 respectively. The pulley 46 is of adjustable diameter for varying the speed of the feed-screw, any slack in the belt 44 being taken up by pulleys 58 and adjustable pulley 57. A chain 68 is provided to limit the droop of landwheel 41 when the attachment is raised by the poweroperated draft links 11 to transport position. Specifications 470,069 and 622,304 are referred to
