[Class 20 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] A vehicle body wall comprises a frame-work having upright pillars 10 (shown in cross-section) with passages therethrough located substantially in the region of the neutral axes of the pillars and longitudinal members 11 in continuous lengths running through the passages from end to end of the wall. The pillars 10 and members 11 are secured by rivets 18. In a modification they are connected by brackets. The pillars 10 are of hollow rectangular section with flanges 14 enclosing timber strips to which body panels 20 are secured. The pillar members may be of wood or metal and may be hollow or solid. Specification 557,556, [Group XXXII], is referred to.
