Abstract

637,313. Wigs &c. STEINER, H. D. June 12, 1947, No. 15492. [Class 131] A wig or other false hair appendage, e.g. beard, moustache, or eyebrows, comprises a foundation fabric composed wholly or entirely of thin nylon filaments, the peripheral parts of which are hand-made, and natural or artificial hairs knotted or looped to the foundation. As shown the parts b, c and d are made of reticulated material of type normally used in the manufacture of wigs and are reinforced by tapes e. The peripheral parts f. and the region g, of the hair-parting, are hand-made, of thin nylon filaments, to the desired shape, and are thus secured against unravelling. The fabric may be treated with a fixative . medium to prevent unravelling.
