A wig has a film 33 at the hairline, the film having hair provided thereon and a hairless band 45 at its forward edge. The film is made of synthetic resins or a rubber and may be reinforced by an inserted mesh or fabric. The hairs may be attached to the film by inter alia the method illustrated in Fig. 1. The film may be attached to a net.
