Abstract

1,067,108. Wig manufacture. M. MARDER. Feb. 17, 1966, No. 7078/66. Heading A4V. A method for constructing a hair assembly, used in the manufacture of wigs comprises applying a number of individual hairs to an adhesive strip, with the hairs preferably positioned at right angles to the strip and projecting beyond the strip, and thereafter applying a second strip to the first. or folding over the first strip lengthwise so that portions of the hairs are held between portions of the strip or strips stuck to each other. Preferably each strip is folded about its centre line so that only the central portion of each hair adheres to the strip, and a tape may be folded lengthwise about the strip or strips and secured to them by stitching which passes through two thicknesses of each strip, and two thicknesses of tape.
