[Also in Division E2] In a method of forming a stay arm 11 an elongated slot is sheared in a strip of material, a rib 20 is stamped across the slot adjacent one end of the slot and the sides of the strip 16, 17, including the whole of the material on each side of the slot, are bent upwards at right-angles to the strip on the same side of the strip as the rib.
