Abstract

636,852. Glazing roofs. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS, Ltd., and MADDOX, A. M. May 20, 1948, No. 13696. [Class 20 (iii)] In a glazing-bar the web A<SP>1</SP> which extends between adjacent panes (supported on the flanges B) has a continuous longitudinal groove E in its top. Ribs F are provided along the sides of the groove, those along one side being staggered with respect to those along the other whereby the recesses between the ribs are engaged by the threads of the screws which pass through the capping and hold the latter to the upper faces of the panes. The amount of the stagger is equal to half the pitch of the screws.
