1295515 Guiding webs SOC MEUSIENNE DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES 16 Feb 1970 7395/70 Heading B8R Apparatus for guiding a strip 10 through a chamber 1 containing a treatment liquid 2 comprises a first drive roller 4 at one end region of the chamber; a second drive roller 3 at the other end region of the chamber; and intermediate rollers 51, 52 which are associated with the upper runs of the strips and which are arranged to subject the strips to two angular twists and to a lateral displacement, so that the strip travels in a flattened helical path through the chamber with contiguous lower runs, such as 12 and 15, having a different face uppermost, i.e. the strip is turned over each time it enters the liquid 2 from the roller 4.
