Abstract
636,575. Automatic frequency control systems. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and MORTLEY, W. S. Jan. 30, 1948, No. 2877. [Class 38 (iv)] The synchronization of oscillators O1, 02 is effected by means of the phase detector PD which adjusts the reactance valve RV controlling 02. The filter comprising the opposed rectifier R1, R2 and condenser C is inserted between PD and RV to reduce the phase modulation of 02 by unwanted signals from PD. R1 and R2 act as a non-linear resistor and change the time constant of the filter as the degree of synchronization changes.
