[Class 52 (iv)] A wire spring for seats has a sinuous portion 6 supporting the seating surface with a downwardly and rearwardly inclined front portion 8 connected to the front frame rail 3 and an upwardly inclined rearward extension 17 with a slight S bend 16, Fig. 2, connected to the back rail 5. The assembled springs are clipped to a front edge wire 22 and laterally interconnected by short tension springs.
