Abstract

635,535. Force-lasted footwear. SPLENDIDA, Ltd., and PRETZFELDER, P. April 30, 1948, No. 11886. [Class 17 (ii)] An upper 10 and lining 11 are sewn at 13 to a platform cover strip 12 and the combined parts are then sewn at 15, outside the line of stitches 13, to a sock 14. The shoe is then completed by force-lasting using a platform 17 having a rebate 19 to reduce the depth of the exposed edge 20 of the platform and cover strip. In a modification, the cover strip may be in two parts overlapped at the ends and the upper lining cover strip and sock may be additionally united at points round the shoe by lockstitches placed between,the two lines of stitches 13, 15. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 640,324.
