[Class 106(v)] A bottle filling machine, incorporating measure containers, of the kind in which the measure containers c are mounted in a common container a in which the level r of the filling liquid is caused to be displaced by a relative up and down movement between the said common container a and a displacement tank m or the like immersed in the liquid, the arrangement being such that during the said up and down movement in one direction the measure containers c are filled with liquid up to the top and remain thus filled after the said relative movement in the opposite direction when the liquid level r in the common container a has dropped slightly below the top edge s of the measure containers c, whereupon a valve l closing the lower open end c4 of the measure containers is opened and allows the measured amount of liquid to flow down into the bottles q to be filled, is characterised in that the valve l is carried by a rod k passing through the measure container c and that a seat f for the neck of the bottle q to be filled is connected, by pins e, plate d, rods g and strap j, to the free end of the valve rod k, the displacement of which seat f towards the lower end c4 of the measure container when the bottle q is pushed up with the said seat causes the valve l to be opened. The common container a is fixed and the displacement tank m is movable. Feed and overflow pipes o and p are provided at the rear of the common container a. The rods g pass through tubes h isolating them from the liquid in the common container.
