[Class 38 (v)] In a switch having a snap-action imparted by a permanent magnet 54, a resilient blade 30 fixed to a bracket 24 and carrying the movable contact 38 has a struck-out arm 42 engaging a push-button 46 mounted in a projection 21 on the base 10. A U-shaped opening 34 in the blade 30 freely receives the shank of a screw 36 adjustable in a strip armature 32 riveted to the blade 30 near the fixed end of the latter, and a further screw 40 in the armature can engage the blade 30 behind the contact 38. Normally the magnet 54 holds the armature 32 and the contact 38 engages an adjustable fixed contact 62 whereby the blade 30 is flexed away from the under-surface of the head of the screw 36. Pressing the button 46 deflects the arm 42 and eventually the armature 32 leaves the magnet 54 and the head of the screw 36 engages the blade 30 to separate the contacts 38, 62 with a snap-action. The button 46 is returned by the arm 42 and the magnet recloses the switch with a snap-action, the screw 40 finally engaging the blade 30. Should the contacts weld, the arm 42 engages a screw 64 in the armature to positively open the contacts. A dust-proof cover 16 locating on the base 10 may also serve to mount the switch.
