[Class 89 (iii)] A stapling tool of the hammer type comprises a tubular handle a within which a stick of staples g is positioned by pressed-in shoulders f and, if desired, by a U-shaped guide h. The hammer member c is pivoted to the handle at d and is raised by a spring- controlled pivoted lever k carrying a roller bearing on the handle. According to the Provisional Specification, the lever k is pivoted to the handle and bears by a notched end against the hammer member.
