625,807. Coat hangers. EKINS, C. N. Sept. 12, 1945, No. 23517. [Class 52 (v)] A collapsable coat hanger comprises two arms a pivoted within an inverted trough shaped member with their adjacent ends spaced apart to accommodate a spring influenced wedge-shaped abutment member h mounted on or integral with the lower end of the suspension hook spindle d. The spring is coiled about the upper part of the said spindle d and is adapted to be compressed against the web of the trough member to dislodge the abutment member h and permit the collapse of the arms. The spring remains compressed, the extension of the arms being in the first instance manual and thereafter automatic.
