Abstract

625,386. Snap-action switches. ROTAX, Ltd., and THOMSON, R. H. July 28, 1947, No. 20237. [Class 38(v)] The moving contact of a snapaction switch comprises an arm 4 pivoted at 5 and operating between fixed contacts 6, 7. The free end of the arm 4 is connected to a lever 9 by a bent spring 17 the ends of which are bent at right angles and engage in openings in the arm and lever. A coil spring 12-surrounds the pivot of the lever and maintains the latter in contact with an actuating pin 15, 14. When the pin 14 is raised its head 15 lifts the lever 9 and strains the spring 17 till it passes the dead-centre position when it snaps the arm 4 from contact 7 to contact 6.
