625,382. Cooling plastic &c. materials. STEEL BAND CONVEYOR & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and SCOTT, A. T. July 26, 1947, No. 20193. [Class 29] [Also in Group XXX] Apparatus for cooling material as described in Specification 570,827, is modified by the provision of an auxiliary upper heat-conducting endless band 8, a stream of cooling liquid being caused to flow over the upper surface of the lower strand of said band. Cooling liquid is supplied by pipes 12 and withdrawn through pipes 14, 15. The bands 1, 8 are spaced by spacers 24, the band 8 carries side pieces 11 and is restrained from sagging by ejectoractuated suction devices 17.
