Abstract

725,835. Solidifying soap by cooling. PISONI, R. Feb. 28, 1953, No. 5674/53. Class 29. [Also in Group V] Hot liquid soap is forced through a pipe S into a cooled shaping channel 8 formed in the periphery of a rotating disc 2 and emerges at A as a continuous solid block which is cut into cakes by a cutter 18, the cakes being taken away by a conveyer 19. The open side of channel is closed over most of the circumference of the disc by a steel belt 10 passing around an adjustable pulley 17. Belt 10 has a rubber jacket 13 secured thereto. Cooling brine is forced through pipe 6, passage 20 in shaft 5 on which disc 2 is fixed, flexible hose 21, jacket 9 around channel 8, hose 22, jacket 13, hose 23, pipe 24 and passage 25 in the shaft. The shaft may carry two or more discs 2.
