623,181. Valve circuits. SULLIVAN, B. J., and BECKER, H. W. Nov. 30, 1945, No. 32364. Convention date, May 15, 1944. [Class 40 (vi)] [Also in Group XXXIX] Energy at supersonic frequency, together with D.C. and modulated carriers is supplied over lines 10, 11, the supersonic frequency being applied over transformer 18 to heat the filament of valve 12. The carriers are fed over potentiometer 31 to transformer 32, 41, tuned by capacitors which are selected by switches 38, 49, the selected carrier being demodulated by the valve, energy at the modulation frequency being fed to a reproducing device 26. The D.C. is fed over the tuned circuit 16 for rejecting carrier frequencies and the transformer 18 to the anode and screen grid circuits. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the anode and screen grid supplies are obtained by rectifying the supersonic frequency from a further winding on transformer 18.
