771,979. Frequency modulation; frequency changing. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. May 26, 1955 [May 29, 1954], No. 15220/55. Drawings to Specification. Classes 40(5) and 40(6) Frequency modulated received waves are applied through a pre-amplifier and peak amplitude limiter to a self-oscillating additive frequency changer to avoid lockin of the local oscillation frequency on any occurrence of high amplitudes of the waves. The limiter may be a rectifier shunting the anode circuit of the preamplifier and biased to a value .5 volts or less from a filter network in the HT supply line.
