622,901. Temperature-responsive actuating elements. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. April 17, 1947 No. 10236. Convention date, April 17, 1946. [Class 64(ii)] [Also in Groups XXIV. XXXII and XXXVII] A snap-action switch comprises a frame 8 clamping the outer ends of two transversely-corrugated spring strip elements 1, 2, which are hinged together at their inner ends and move between a pair of stops 11, 17. As shown, the springs 1, 2, are bimetallic and carry a contact 10 co-operating with a fixed contact 11. In a modification, Fig. 6 (not shown), the springs carry a contact adapted to bridge two contacts carried by the frame.
