[Class 146 (i)] In a compartmented device for storing sheet form articles such as cards, tickets, pamphlets 13, wherein each compartment comprises two main walls 11 and a subsidiary wall 12 at an angle to the main walls 11 which are at an angle to the horizontal so that the cards 13 slide downwards and rest on one wall 11 with their edges against the wall 12 so that their top edges are splayed or stepped, a plurality of sets .or series of compartments are supported in parallel relationship to each other in troughs of substantially rectangular cross section formed or supported one above and slightly behind the other within a rigid frame or a supporting structure 28. The troughs are formed by U-shaped shelves 27 secured within a tray 31 which is supported in the structure 28 at an angle with the base sloping rearwardly and upwardly from its lower longitudinal edge. The walls 11 of the compartment members may be soldered to the shelves 27 and top and bottom plates 30, 27a of the tray 31. In a modification, the compartment members extend the whole width of the tray and through slots in the top and bottom walls 30, 27a where they are secured, the shelves 27 having oblique slots through which the compartment members pass. An index frame 29 for index strips may be attached to each shelf 27.
