Abstract

Riboflavin is obtained from fermentation residues, fermented mashes or beers, by removing the undesirable impurities from the starting material by precipitation, e.g. with acetone, concentrating the purified liquor under reduced pressure, adding further quantities of organic solvent and crystallizing the riboflavin therefrom at a low temperature.
