620,896. Windows. MEREDITH, T. J. Jan. 30, 1947, No. 2854. [Class 20(iii)] A window frame comprises a unitary metal frame 10 having a pair 16 of rightangle Z-sections, engaging the glass 6 or glazing support 15 and a forwardly extending integral weather strip 12 which engages the exterior of the wall 17 or the sides of the aperture therein. The frame at its side, remote from the weather strip, engages means, separate from the frame, to bridge the space between the back of the frame and the inside of the wall or opening therein. In the form shown, these means comprise an inner frame 19 secured to the frame of the wall. Other forms are particularly adapted for cavity walls. Instead of the inner frame 19, the space may be bridged by slabs, tiles or the like.
