Abstract

571,671. Window frames. HILLS PATENT GLAZING CO., Ltd., and HINCHLIFFE, E. D. Oct. 26, 1943, No. 17592. [Class 20 (iii)] A metal window adapted to be built into a window opening has a double rebate on its exterior face to hold glazing or to engage hinged sashes 14, 15. The frame is preferably of channel form one limb of the channel being formed into the rebates 2, 3 of which the outer rebate 2 is secured to plaster &c. When applied to building comprising-stanchions and slabs, lugs &c. 21 secured to the frame are welded or riveted thereto or secured to brackets 24 carried by the stanchions 20, Fig. 4.
