Abstract

619,297. Vehicle number plates. BLUEMEL BROS., Ltd., and BLUEMEL, F. W. Dec. 2, 1946, Nos. 35588/46 and 12016/47. [Class 3(ii)] A digit member 12, Figs. 2 and 3, for a road vehicle number plate 10 is made of a plastic having light reflecting properties, and is of substantially triangular shape in cross-section to give two substantially flat light-reflecting faces 13; securing rivets 11, Fig. 3, are moulded into the symbol, the rivets having elongated heads 16 which lie along the length of the digit and the undersides of which are covered by the plastic material to secure them in position. The tubular shanks of the rivets are passed through holes in the plate 10 and are riveted over. The underside of the digits may be recessed as shown at 15, Fig. 3. According to the first Provisional Specification, moulding members of the general form shown in Specification 557,595, [Group V], may be used in the moulding process.
