Abstract

618,930. Snap-action switches. PARSONS, C. S. (Elcalor Akt.-Ges. Fabrik fur Elektrothermische Apparate). Nov. 13, 1946, No. 33735. [Class 38 (v)] The fixed contacts 13 of a snap-action rotary switch suitable for a cooker, are connected to clamps 7 ... 9 and extend freely through slots 12 in the base 1. The contacts are adapted to be bridged by contacts 18 in slots in discs 16 on a shaft 15, the shaft being located in its various switching positions and held in a bearing by star-wheels 22 engaging wheels 27 on a spring-urged lever 23. The shaft may also operate spring- mounted contacts 36, 37, in a signalling circuit, by means of a lever 38.
