618,127. Pressure gauges. PARKINSON & COWAN (GAS METERS), Ltd., ALEXANDER, A., and GREEN, K. R. Oct. 23, 1946, No. 31502. [Class 106 (ii)] A pressure absorption gauge for use in testing gas or other meters comprises a manometer tube a containing electrically conducting liquid and two internal contacts d, e, one end f of the tube being open to the atmosphere and the other end being connected to a pipe b leading from the meter c to a testing bell. Thus, a predetermined absorption pressure in the meter will cause the conducting liquid to bridge the contacts and thus actuate an indicator via leads g. The contacts may be adjustable in position and the indicator may be operated by a relay which remains activated until re-set.
