Abstract
616,631. Making joint-making packing &c. MURRAY, W. Sept. 12, 1946, No. 27473. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [Also in Groups XXVI and XXXII] In a resilient sealing device in which sealing members 12, 17 soldered &c. to bellows 10 to allow of movement together or apart, a compression spring 5 housed between the members 12, 17 is screwed into position through an arcuate slot 20 in the member 12 after soldering 11 has been effected. The slot 20 may be filled subsequently. In a modification, telescopic tubes are substituted for the bellows.
