616,431. Dish-washing machines. INGENIORSFIRMAN A. VON BROMSSEN AKTIEBOLAGET. Aug. 30, 1946, No. 26203. Convention date, Sept. 4, 1945. [Class 138 (i)] [Also in Group XXXV] In a dish-washing machine, the articles to be washed are subjected to a preliminary washing by means of circulating water from a tank 9 at a temperature below the coagulation temperature of the substances to be removed from the articles, a washing proper by water preferably mixed with a dishing-powder and at a temperature above the coagulation point, and a rinsing with hot water and possibly sterilization with boiling water, the last-mentioned waters after usage passing to the tank 9, and a thermo-regulator 18 is inserted in the water in the tank 9, adapted to open a cold-water conduit 22 leading into the tank 9 when the temperature of the water therein rises above a predetermined temperature below coagulation point and to close the conduit when it sinks to a predetermined temperature below that level. The water is thus kept at about 40‹ C. The regulator 18 actuates. an electric relay 19 operating an electric motor 20 controlling a valve 21 in the conduit 22. The articles are placed in boxes 5 and pass through the spray zones of sprays 4, 3, 2, 1 for the preliminary washing, washing, rinsing and sterilizing operations respectively, the sprays 4, 3, 2 being supplied from the tanks 9, 8, 7 by pumps 10, and the spray 1 from an external source of boiling water. The tank 7 is supplied by the spray 1, and after usage the water passes to the tank 9 through a conduit 16. An outlet 17 is provided. The water in the tank 8 is kept at about 60-70‹ C. by means of a thermostat 13 controlling an electric heating device 12. The temperature of the water in the tank 7 is 85‹ C., and the capacities of the tanks 7, 8, 9 are 90, 140 and 90 litres respectively.
