[Class 133] A punnet consists of a one-piece side wall formed by bending a rectangular blank on itself and securing the overlapping ends together and a base secured to the bottom edge of the side wall. The side wall is formed from a strip or strips shaved from a rectangular block and bent into cylindrical or polygonal form, the overlapping ends being secured by a staple. A base member, shaved from a square or similar shaped block which may have had its corners removed is pressed against the end of the wall and is secured in place by staples at the four corners, one leg of each staple passing through the side wall and the other leg through the base. The former on which the side wall is shaped and the plunger by which the base is held in place are recessed to facilitate insertion and clinching of the staples.
