Abstract
615,232. Sinks. CUSSONS, C. W. Feb. 4. 1946, No. 3496. [Class 26] A sink comprises a main chamber 1 having a waste outlet 5 below a recess 4 containing a removable perforated refuse trap 6, one subsidiary rins- ' ing chamber 2 with waste outlet 8 provided with a removable perforated basket 10 having a handle 12 and another 3 having a waste outlet 16, the said outlets having stop-cocks 9 and 17. By means of a threeway tap 19 water can be supplied to the chambers 1, 2 or 3 by taps 28, 30 and 29, the tap 30 having an adjustable pipe 35 swingable in front of the sink, the water entering the chambers 1 and 3 by ducts 32 and 33. The three-way tap 19 receives water at any temperature through a mixing valve 21 and both may be enclosed by a cover 26 having slots through which handles 22 and 27 protrude. The perforated trap 6 has a lip 13 adapted to rest on a rim 14 in the recess 4 which may be covered by a plug 7 having a handle 37.
