614,707. Telecontrol systems. SPERRY GYROSCOPE CO., Inc. July 20, 1946, No. 21721. Convention date, July 31, 1945. [Class 40 (i)] [Also in Group XXXV] A control circuit for a servomotor makes use of an induction generator (see Group XXXV) which is excited from an A.C. supply and whose output depends on its speed of rotation. The machine comprises a stator carrying an exciting winding 22 and generating winding 23 and a central laminated core 30 leaving an air-gap for a cupshaped conducting rotor 40. The core, which has a flat 35, is adjustable to eliminate errors due to direct induction between the windings and irregularities in the rotor. In use (Fig. 5), the rotor 66 of a receiving selsyn 65 controlled by a transmitter 62, is coupled to the induction generator rotor 40 and to the device 70 which is to be controlled. The output 23 of the generator is arranged to oppose the voltage of the rotor 66 and the resultant is fed into an amplifier 71 which in turn feeds the servomotor 101 driving the device 70. U.S.A.
