Abstract
614,706. Studs for footwear. STELLINGS, R. June 20, 1947, No. 18685/46. [Class 17 (iii)] A stud more especially for sports wear is shown in plan and comprises a thickened central portion 1 with wings 2, 3 of less thickness extending on opposite sides, the upper surface of the central portion and upper and lower surfaces of the wings being concave or recessed. Radial ribs 4, 5, 6 are provided on the lower or ground contacting surface of the central portion 1. A nail is driven through a central countersunk hole 7 and staples into pairs of holes 15 to secure the stud to the sole or heel.
