Abstract

614,001. Conveyers. SUTCLIFFE, Ltd., R., and SHEPPARD, J. Dec. 21, 1945, No. 34699. [Class 78 (i)] In conveyers for use in coal mines coal cut at the face is loaded on to the conveyer by a pair of rotary gathering arms 2, each of which projects through a rotatable ring 3 mounted eccentrically thereto and rotated thereby. Each arm 2 is mounted on a pin 6 which is connected by eccentrically mounted gears 7, 8 and bevel gears 9 to the main drive shaft 10. Each ring 3 is mounted in bearings 4 in the housing 5.
