[Class 52(iii)] A concealable table comprises a flexible table top, a structure providing a pocket into which the table top may be slid for concealment and a member or members hinged to the structure and having legs to support it in horizontal position for the support of the table top when the latter is drawn out into operative position. A structure 1 which may be a bookcase or a cabinet has hinged thereto about its top edge a frame 3 which normally depends at the front of the structure but may be swung into horizontal position and supported there by hinged legs 10 to support a table top 18, which is of the flexible slatted type, and which may be withdrawn from its inoperative position, consisting of a pocket or equivalent thereof, behind the structure 1. The structure 1 is adapted to be housed in a recess in a wall or cabinet and for this purpose is provided with projections 12, 13, 17 to position it accurately from the side and back walls of the recess. The table top 18 moves on wheels 21 or a transverse roller. When the structure 1 is in the form of a cabinet it is provided with end walls spaced from the side uprights to house the supporting frame 3 and legs 10 and with a spaced back wall to provide a pocket for the table top 18. In another modification in which the structure is also a cabinet the support for the table top in extended position comprises frames hung like doors from the structure. The table top may be of rigid type which is withdrawn bodily from the pockets and laid on the supporting frame.
